Ebony-Mala

Natural black ebony is very rare and very precious because it is the hardest of all precious woods.
The ebony for this mala comes from the deepest south of India and was processed by hand.
The energy of ebony is said to strengthen concentration and support meditation.
It helps to remove the shackles of anger, hate and delusion and is suitable for mantra recitation to all deities and abstract forms of the divine source.
In mythology ebony is often attributed with a magical and protective effect.
For example, houses with ebony stakes should not be accessible to evil spirits, or ebony weapons that have the power to wound demons.
It is known that this mala is a favourite of Indian nobles.
