Heavy brass bell (Ghanti) with Hanuman

The brass bell, one of the sacred metals, is an integral part of the Indian puja and is used during the performance of the "aarti" (devotion). These sounds help to drown out ominous or disturbing noises that might disturb the believers in their concentration and inner peace.
