Shaligrama-Mala

Shaligramas (ammonites) are fossils blessed by Vishnu energy, found only in the Gandaki River, also called Kali Ghandaki. This black Gandaki originates in Mustang, in the north of the Himalayas and flows westwards along the deepest valley in the world. The Sahligramas found there are evidence of thousands of years of history and have a dark grey to black colour due to the depth of the valley. In the Hindu tradition they are regarded as a special power object. A Shaligrama contains the power and energy of Narayana (Mahavishnu). Vishnu does not have to be attracted by a Shaligrama, because the Shaligrama stands for Vishnu independently. Already a small piece of a Shaligrama is enough to get in touch with Vishnu.
